A beautiful vintage Meikei China tea and coffee set finished in a striking cobalt blue glaze with raised hand-painted dragon decoration and gilt detailing. This eye-catching Japanese set comprises six cups and saucers together with the matching coffee pot, lidded sugar bowl and milk jug, making it an excellent display piece or an attractive vintage tea service. The raised enamel dragon decoration and rich blue finish give the set a distinctive Oriental style that displays beautifully. All pieces have been carefully inspected and are free from any obvious cracks or repairs. There is light age-related wear including minor rubbing to some of the gilt edging and decoration consistent with age and use.
