Vintage 1970s Fosters Pottery Troika Style Chimney 10 Piece Coffee Set

A Vintage 1970s Foster's Pottery Troika Style "Chimney" 10 piece Coffee / Tea Set, made in Cornwall. Used for display only, Most of the pieces have protective pads attached to the bases, presumably to protect the surface they were displayed on. The 2 fully glazed mugs may be later additions as they do not have the protective pads.

These pads appear to be easily removed. Of the 7 mugs, 5 feature a wax resist unglazed abstract design panel, 2 of the mugs are completely glazed over the same panels. Very unusual chimney pot shape, tall with a rectangular base and circular rim. Characteristic Foster's Honeycomb glaze on the top sections. 14.7cm tall (the 2 with the glazed panels are slightly smaller at 14.5cm), 7cm x 8cm bases, 11cm wide including handle, 6cm diameter rims, the set weighs 2.4kg. Tea / Coffee Pot: 220mm tall, 225mm wide from handle to spout, base 140mm x 100mm. Milk Jug: 170mm tall including lid, 1800mm wide from handle to spout, base 100mm x 140mm.

Sugar Bowl: 165mm tall including lid, 140mm x 90mm base. Total weight of the full set is just under 5kg. All are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or visible wear. Fabulous set of vintage Cornish Pottery from the 1970s. Please examine photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Vintage and used items may have surface marks that are not visible in normal use but may show under different lighting conditions. These are generally commensurate with normal use and age. Serious flaws will be noted in the description and where possible photographed. All measurements and weights are approximate. Colours may vary slightly from those depicted on your screen.
