Vintage Japan Moriyama Mori-Machi Designer Hand Painted Orange and Raised Flower Coffee Set. As the set is Vintage, you will expect to see some discoloration, stains and imperfection. 1 Saucer has minor chips in the Bottom rim(see picture). Moriyama Pottery was located in Mori-Machi in Shizuoka Prefecture. Moriyama Pottery was established in 1911 by Hidekichi Nakamura who was taught pottery making by Seison Suzuki.

There are currently four studios continuing the Moriyama tradition in and around Mori-machi and they are Seison, Seizon, Nakamura and Tame. There seems to be two primary stamps: one appears to be a crown with a wreath of leaves similar to the wreath found on the Noritake stamp. This stamp is marked Moriyama Hand Paint Japan. The other is a bouquet of flowers and is marked Moriyama Made in Japan. Excellent condition = Like new, nearly new, no dent with minor scratches. Very Good condition = close to new, no dent with some small visible scratches. Good condition = previously used with normal wear and tear might have dents and scratches. Fair condition = heavily used with scratches, chipped and dents. Inkjet Cartridge = mostly sealed in pack or box and EXPIRED, otherwise stated with New Date in Description.
