Vintage Silver Plate Tea Coffee Service Set-silver overlay on Porcelain Germany

  
From my personal collection of well-cared for SILVER items..... It'S TIME TO DOWN-SIZE! Coffee Tea Service from Germany...... A very high quality, thick silver overlay wrap on porcelain tea set service pieces; there are no markings anywhere that I can find, on the inside or outside of the pieces. Silver completely covers the exterior of the pieces and is "rolled" over the edges for a tight fitting cover; you can actually feel the thickness with your fingers; items were produced in the same high quality as those of Wilhelm Spahr. I have priced this set as "plated".

Coffee pot measures 11" high (with lid) and 9" wide from spout to handle; the tea pot measures 8" high (with lid) and 9" wide from spout to handle; creamer is 3.5" x 3.5"; sugar is 4 3/4" high x 5 1/4" wide, handle to handle. I originally received the set from my Grandmother from Germany in the late 70's, but don't know if the set was new or vintage. I had it displayed in my china cabinet as shown in photo 1 without a tray. The last photo shows a small waste bowl and tray added to the set, but it is NOT included.

Condition: All pieces come polished and ready to use, display or store; they are wrapped in plastic bags which I have found save lots of "elbow grease" since it inhibits tarnishing--leave it stored in the bag and then a quick wash with silver cream does the job just before using.
