Vintage Birmingham Silver Co. Monumental 7 Piece Silverplate Tea and Coffee Set

  
Up for consideration is a vintage seven piece silver on copper tea set by Birmingham Silver Co. An elegant full service set with the classically designed pieces crafted of substantial weight and size. From the high end estate of the original purchaser, the set has been well cared for and is in beautiful vintage condition. The silver plating is magnificent. Bright with a clear and brilliant luster with the presence of only the slightest and expected light surface scratching. A few specks of oxidation are seen to the surface of the tray but these are not distracting and may polish away over time with gentle persistence. The interiors of each piece are clean and free of corrosion, showing slight evidence of only the occasional gentle use. One tiny ding can be found near the bottom of the waste bowl, this is minor and very shallow and isn't noticed unless intentionally seeking it out.

A qualified jeweler can easily remove this if you desire. Otherwise no dents, dings, rub marks, plate loss, or other compromising imperfections are found. All hinges operate as intended and the Birmingham hallmark is seen on the bottom of each piece. Wear is commensurate for age and history of well cared for use so please regard all photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing. This is a large, heavy, and impressive set that displays beautifully.
