Vintage 1970s Portmeirion Phoenix FULL 28 piece Coffee Set In Original Box

  

Hi there, and welcome to my listing for a vintage 1970s Portmeirion "Phoenix" Full 28 piece Coffee Set, designed by John Cuffley, in beautiful condition and comes in its original heavy duty box. Please note that, whilst the box does say 16 pieces, it is the original box but I guess it counts a cup and saucer as 1 piece.

This is the larger truly Full Set, with 12 cups, 12 saucers, Milk Jug, Sugar Bowl, Coffee Pot & Lid, and not the normal 6 cups and 6 saucers. I cannot swear categorically, but I do not believe it has ever been used.

My parents used to have it, together with other ceramics & glass, in a display cabinet in their dining room but I had not seen it for many years until I was clearing out their house and found it in the attic. Given the above, as one would expect, the entire set is in superb condition, with no crazing, wear, marks or dulling of the pattern, unfortunately with the exception of one cup, which has a small chip on the base (Please see last two photos).
