Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea & Coffee Set Art Deco Style Vintage 1955

  
This fine vintage sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service / set consists of a coffee jug, teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl. The pieces of this tea and coffee service have a plain rectangular form in the Art Deco style. The body of each piece is plain and unembellished apart from the applied gadroon decorated border. The coffee jug and teapot are fitted with hallmarked hinged covers, retaining the original Art Deco style fibre finials. The teapot and coffee jug are fitted with Art Deco style shaped fibre handles. The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with Art Deco style shaped sterling silver handles; matching the fibre handles to the teapot and coffee jug.

Each piece is supported by four bracket feet in the Art Deco style. The teapot is fitted with a plain swan necked spout. All the pieces of this vintage tea set are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The service has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the set and part hallmarks to the covers of the teapot and coffee pot are all very clear.
