Arch Pottery St. Ives Cornwall vintage coffee set

Anthony Richards, born in Richmond, Surrey in 1924, moved to Cornwall in 1949. He had studied art at Kingston Art School and had developed an interest in pottery. With Bill Pickard for a while, where he learned to throw and started. He met Christiane, an accomplished decorator, who had recently come to England from her native France in 1954 and married her in 1957.

In 1955 he opened Arch Pottery. In Hicks Court, off The Digey in St Ives and in 1960 Christiane set up Cellar Pottery. John Buchanan joined Arch Pottery in 1961. Anthony also supplied unglazed pots for his wife Christiane to decorate at her Cellar Pottery in St Ives between 1960 and 1966. For sale is a vintage coffee set from Arch Pottery.

Each saucer is approx 4.6 or 11.2cm in diameter. Jug is 7.5 or 19cm high.

One coffee jug, 6 coffee mugs and saucers. All very good vintage condition. Two very small and slight blemishes on rim of jug.
