Vintage Cornish pottery coffee set John Buchanan

  
John Buchanan, born in 1943, died 2020, joined Anthony Richards. In St Ives in 1961 to learn how to throw. He stayed at Arch until 1966 when he set up Anchor Pottery. He moved the pottery to St Ives in 1971 and then in 1976 to Halsetown on the St Ives to Penzance road, where it is still to be found. He used both gas and electric kilns. John Buchanan was a prominent local potter, Guild of Master Craftsmen, and a member of the St Ives Society of Artists. & coffee cups and saucers.
