Vintage Bidasoa Coffee Set for 6. Dimensions are approximately: saucer diameter: 13.5cms (5 1/4" ins) cup diameter excluding handle: 6.5cms (2 1/2" ins) cup height excluding handle: 6cms (2 1/4 ins). Coffee pot length handle to spout: 21.5cms (8 1/2 ins). Coffee pot height to spout: 15cms (6 ins).

Sugar bowl diameter: 9.5cms (3 3/4 ins). Sugar bowl height excluding lid: 5cms (2 ins). Creamer length handle to spout: 10cms (4 ins). Creamer height to spout: 8.5cms (3 1/4 ins) This stylish mid century modern set was produced by Porcelanas Bidasoa in Spain c1970's as part of their'Block' range. The set is decorated with the vibrant Flamenco Blanco pattern in red and black with contrasting white porcelain. The innovative coffee pot shape was originally created by designer Gerald Gulotto in the 1960's. The cups are a demitasse/espresso size..

Pieces are damaged, lost or collections are broken up. The good news for collectors is that quality pieces should not only hold their value but increase over time. Condition: The coffee set is in generally excellent vintage condition commensurate for age and use. Colour and pattern all still vivid and eye-catching.

One cup has a small hairline to the inside (see last photos) it does not affect the use or the look (cannot see it from the outside) of the cup. Otherwise no fractures, crazing, discolouration or chips... Some items may have occasional teeny imperfection/mark or spot.. Overall a really fabulous coffee set...

Backstamp: Bidasoa Made in Spain Pattern: Flamenco Blanco Circa:1960's-1970's Additional Info. The company was founded by the Otxoteko brothers and produced a range of homeware, crockery and decorative porcelain items. The first factory was built in 1936 but was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War.

Reconstruction efforts were supported by technicians from Limoges and the incorporation of Luso Española de Porcelanas SA (LEPSA). Bidasoa grew significantly, particularly in the mid-20th century, and collaborated with artists like Picasso and Dalí, as well as designers like Gerald Gulotta. While it achieved international recognition and collaborated with renowned artists, Bidasoa faced increasing competition and financial difficulties, ultimately ceasing operations in 2009. Bidasoa's porcelain remains highly valued by collectors and enthusiasts for its quality, craftsmanship, and artistic designs.
