VINTAGE GRAND & HEAVY STERLING SILVER TEA COFFEE SET D. MOSCHOS GREECE 2424 g
EXQUISITE VINTAGE GRAND & HEAVY HAND WROUGHT FLUTED SOLID STERLING SILVER TEA COFFEE SET D. Offered is a vintage grand and heavy solid sterling silver tea and coffee set from Greece by Dimitris Moschos, a well-known silversmith located in the center of Athens. This is an exquisite set hand wrought with top craftsmanship. It is art nouveau style, spiral fluted and in baluster form.
It consists of a tea pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream jug. The tea pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl have a rosebud finial. All four have grand handles and stand on four feet with red protection pads which could be removed (pictured). The teapot and coffee pot have hinged lids and the sugar bowl has a removable lid. All four items in the set are marked 925 for sterling silver and D.
MOSCHOS for the silversmith (pictured). Total weight is 2424 grams 85.5 oz. A fine set ideal for collection, home decoration or a gift. Size of tea pot is 23 cm 9.1 in.Tall X 26 cm 10.2 in. Wide from handle to spout and weighs 852 grams 30.1 oz.
Size of coffee pot is 24 cm 9.4 in. Tall X 24 cm 9.4 in. Wide from handle to spout and weighs 892 grams 31.4 oz. Size of sugar bowl is 17 cm 6.7 in. Tall X 16 cm 6.3 in.
Wide from handle to handle and weighs 448 grams 15.8 oz. Size of cream jug is 12 cm 4.7 in. Tall X 13 cm 5.1 in.
Wide from handle to spout and weighs 232 grams 8.2 oz. The set is in excellent condition with no discernible damage or wear and no monograms (pictured). Please examine all pictures carefully. Please take a moment to look at my other items! Thank you for your interest.
