I read that SFAM was the previous name of the Maker Chambly. On the stamps, the name is not easy to read, but with a magnifying lens, I could read SFAM and the grams. It is especially easier to read under the creamer, and under the tray, too. I could also read the grams of the silver used: 25 grams for the Tray, 12 grams for the Coffee Pot and 12 grams for the Tea Pot, 8 grams for the Sugar Bowl w/ Lid, 6 grams for the Creamer. Look at the beautiful Wooden Handles on the Tea and Coffee Pots.
I didn't use this Set much for the tea or the coffee I mean, because it was almost too beautiful and too chic for the everyday life. So, when I was younger, it was sitting on a piece of furniture, like exposed to be seen. But as it was tarnishing, it ended up hidden in a cabinet. I maybe used it twice or three times, not more... The inside of the two pots is not brand new, as you can imagine, but not very damaged either.
Sizes : Tray : 17 3/8" long by counting the handles x 11 1/8" wide Coffee Pot : about 7" tall x 7 1/4" across by counting the handle and the spout Tea Pot : about 6 1/2" tall x 7 1/4" across by counting the handle and the spout Sugar Bowl w/ Lid : about 5" tall x about 4 1/2" across by counting the two small handles Creamer : almost 3" tall, 3 3/8" across by counting the handle and the spout. Condition : It was offered to me in 1978 for my 1st marriage, and it was already Vintage then, so it is very old. You will see on the photos that they are slightly scratched and the tray has some silver missing in tiny dots.
It happened alone, just by staying in my cabinet, probably due to age... One of the pitchers has a hollow, and the other one, a tiny one impossible to show on photos because barely visible in person.
The whole thing needs a better cleaning and if you want them like brand new, you will need to make them re-silvered. The inside of each two pots is not brand new, but not very damaged either. Considering their age, these items are still in great Vintage shape! They can be used as is, I didn't use them much myself. Just be aware that the whole set is a little heavy.
Internationally : Priority service is required because of the weight and the size. It is anyway, much safer like that.
