Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea & Coffee Set Art Deco Vintage George VI

  

The pieces of this fine vintage sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service have an octagonal plain panelled form onto a collet foot. Each piece of this fine service is embellished with an applied decorated girdle. The teapot and coffee pot are fitted with hinged hallmarked domed panelled covers surmounted by Bakelite Art Deco style finials. The coffee pot and teapot feature angular Bakelite handles in the Art Deco style. The sugar bowl and cream jug are fitted with angular sterling silver handles in a similar design.

The service is accompanied by a matching pair of sterling silver sugar tongs. This fine tea and coffee service is fitted to the original leatherette, satin and velvet lined presentation box.

This vintage tea and coffee service is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The service has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The box is in very good condition in keeping with age, one part of one catch is missing however, the box remains in very presentable condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks struck to the covers of the coffee pot and teapot. Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
