Deakin & Francis, HM 1973/4. Vintage Silver Four Piece Tea & Coffee Set. 1148g

  
A Quality and stylish four piece silver tea & coffee set from Deakin & Francis. Made in the year of the Bi-centenary of Birmingham silver, (1973) and hallmarked as such. All four pieces in a simple but elegant Art Deco design. Three pieces hallmarked with date letter Y(1973) and one with date letter Z (1974). Full and clear hallmarks, which on the three pieces with the date letter Y, include the stamp of CC (Roman Numerals) at either side of the anchor, a special mark used in 1973 to commemorate the bi-centenary of the Birmingham Assay Office.

Good solid silver combined weight of 1148g. Teapot in excellent and clean condition throughout, no dings or splits. Hallmarked D& F in conjoined circles. Bi - centenary stamp of CC with Anchor. Stamped also inside the lid.

Height 14 cm, incl knop. Width 24.5 cm (outer handle to spout). Milk/Cream Jug in excellent and clean condition throughout, no dings or splits. Bi-centenary hallmarks as above for 1973.

Height 8.5 cm, Total Width 10.5 cm, Base diam 5 cm. Twin handle sugar bowl , in excellent and clean condition throughout. Coffee Pot: In Good used condition with a couple of minor dings to the outer body and a small ripple to the foot /outer base.

Hallmark D & F in conjoined circles, Anchor, Lion Passant, Z (1974). Width 17 cm (from handle to spout). Base Diam 7.6 cm. A lovely impressive quality silver set from the renowned silversmiths Deakin & Francis. Please look at all the photos, if you need any more, please ask.

However, with the exception of the coffee pot having some dings, the other three pieces are in very fine and excellent condition. Apologies for the amount of light reflection in the photos.
