This coffee set is spectacular. It is Bavarian, made by Bareuther, dating back to 1937 through 1945. Each piece has the makers mark on the underside (photos 7 & 8).
The German company was founded in 1884 by Ernst Plob and Oskar Bareuther. By 1920 the company grew to employ 700 workers. In 1969 they merged with Waldsassen Gareis, Kuhnl & Co.
The set presents in excellent condition with no flaws or defects. It looks as good as new, leading me to believe that it was never used.
The pieces are done in a beautiful cream color with heavy gold accents, and some gold floral decoration. These are striking pieces that have a stunning old world look and feel.
The coffee pot stands 11 in tall, and approximately 10 and a 1/4 in from spout to handle. The sugar bowl stands 5 in tall and the creamer is 4 and a 1/2 in high. The combined weight of all 3 pieces is 3 pounds.
This is a special set, its regal stance, and sophisticated design make it look as of if were made specifically for royalty. The pristine condition of these pieces make it even more desirable. With beauty like this, it should be displayed and admired endlessly.
